SEL360 in the field — real schools, real deployments.
Three current SEL360 deployments across Cleveland, Brooklyn, and Chicago — from an outcome-complete Phase 1 pilot to early-stage engagement profiles. Every figure below is drawn from executed agreements, disciplinary reports, and platform data exports, with sources and confidence noted on each.
Education Empowerment Group — Cleveland Charter Schools
A nine-month SEL (social-emotional learning) pilot at two Cleveland charter schools, renewed into SEL360 Phase 2 and a 2026 summer continuation.
The client
Education Empowerment Group (EEG) is a Cleveland charter network of roughly 20 schools. The pilot ran at two sites: Innovation Academy West (IAW), an Ohio community school, and Lake Erie International High School (LEIHS), a career-technical-education (CTE) high school with significant language diversity.
The challenge
In 2024–25, LEIHS recorded 57 out-of-school suspensions and more than 50 infractions among grades 10–12, with no dedicated SEL counselor on staff. IAW wanted an SEL layer that worked inside its existing CHAMPS and PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) discipline frameworks, not alongside them.
What we did
From April through December 2025, mySHO delivered a nine-month pilot of its clinician-authored SEL curriculum — developed with the UCSF Langley Porter Psychiatric Institute — on Scalable Care digital care infrastructure with Clever single sign-on. Rollout was phased: eight student ambassadors in spring, a summer small-group trial overseen by a research steering committee with Dr. Tammy L. Hughes, Ph.D., ABPP, then full-school rollout at both sites in September. Each school built a daily ritual: “SEL Time” closing the day at IAW, a morning “Mindful Moment” at LEIHS.
Engagement & renewal
During full-school rollout, 80 students engaged across 790 sessions and 235+ hours; 80% asked for human support alongside the digital tool — a finding that directly shaped Phase 2’s teacher-led model. EEG renewed both schools into SEL360 Phase 2 through August 2026 (15-minute, teacher-led sessions five days a week, monthly reporting, workforce-readiness credentials). By mid-May 2026, 49 IAW students had logged 723 logins, 84% active in the prior 30 days, followed by a six-week summer enrichment session (June 8 – July 24, 2026).
| Indicator (LEIHS) | 23–24 | 24–25 | 25–26* |
|---|---|---|---|
| First-semester suspensions | 13 | 4 | 3 |
| First-semester expulsions | 2 | 0 | 0 |
| Infractions, grades 10–12 | — | 50+ | 0 |
| Out-of-school suspensions (full year) | — | 57 | 3* |
Lamad Academy — Crown Heights, Brooklyn
mySHO’s first New York City deployment: an in-kind SEL360 pilot at a mission-driven charter school.
The client
Lamad Academy is a 501(c)(3) charter school in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, serving a multilingual, multicultural student population — including Caribbean, Hispanic, Haitian, and Middle Eastern youth — often underserved by traditional mental-health systems.
Why in-kind
mySHO provided the six-month pilot as an in-kind commitment in recognition of the school’s mission to serve underrepresented youth — and as the proving ground for mySHO’s New York operations.
What we did
- A February–August 2026 pilot serving the 8th-grade class, delivered through mySHO New York.
- Daily SEL check-ins from the clinician-authored curriculum (UCSF Langley Porter).
- 92-language auto-detection matched to the school’s multilingual population.
- Real-time crisis detection and escalation protocols.
- Positive Childhood Experiences (PCE) screening at baseline, midpoint, and end, advised by Dr. Tammy L. Hughes, Ph.D., ABPP.
- A Family Care Team with monthly engagement calls and family platform access.
What’s next
Facilitator training and the PCE baseline were completed in February 2026; students have been active since late March. The PCE follow-up and final evaluation report are due August 15, 2026 — outcome results will be added then.
SESI — Excel Academy Campuses, Chicago
Standing up a four-campus digital SEL program for 250 students — four weeks from kickoff to student go-live.
The client
Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) operates four Excel Academy campuses in Chicago — Roseland, Englewood, South Shore, and Southwest — serving 250 students in grades 6–12.
The need
SESI identified five gaps its existing supports could not cover: continuity of care between counseling sessions, weekend and summer coverage, crisis-intervention capability, restorative-justice alternatives to suspension, and integration with community violence intervention (CVI) work.
What we did
- A dedicated SESI environment on Scalable Care digital care infrastructure, delivering the clinician-authored SEL curriculum (UCSF Langley Porter).
- A Positive Childhood Experiences (PCE) screener at each student’s first login, guided by Dr. Tammy L. Hughes, Ph.D., ABPP, mySHO’s Chief Psychology Officer.
- Elevated staff accounts with a live data dashboard and a materials library for sending SEL content directly to students.
- Crisis-escalation alerts routed to designated school staff.
- An 18-week, CASEL-aligned classroom guide (March 2 – July 3, 2026): 15-minute teacher-led sessions Monday–Friday, with an SEL certification for students who complete the program.
