MHCCSVI ALIGNMENT WITH (PCCD) PENNSYLVANIA COMMISSION ON CRIME & DELINQENCY

The MHCCSVI Program also has direct alignment with the PCCD’s 2021-2025 Strategic Framework with special focus on the mission of the Mental Health and Justice Advisory Committee. The response leverages proven CVI principles and systems with the larger goal of including the MHCCSVI program as part of an Inter-Agency Unified Digital Therapeutic Platform (IAUDTP) for Allegheny County & Western Pennsylvania.

The Inter-Agency Unified Digital Therapeutic Platform program aligns strategically with several key objectives of the 2021-2025 Strategic Framework:

• [Goal 1]: Reduce recidivism rates - By providing evidence-based behavioral & mental health support throughout the justice cycle, IAUDTP can equip individuals with the tools they need to reintegrate successfully into society, thereby lowering recidivism rates.

• [Goal 2]: Improve access to behavioral & mental health services for underserved populations - The IAUDTP program's multilingual capabilities and focus on youth address a critical gap in accessible behavioral & mental health resources.

• [Goal 3]: Enhance data-driven decision making within the justice system – The IAUDTP can generate valuable data on program usage and outcomes, informing future program development and policy decisions.

• [Goal 4]: Sustainability – The HIPAA compliant, real-world real-time behavioral & mental health data qualifies for Research Grant Funding to supplement the sustainability of the IAUDTP program to ensure year-to-year, long term financial sustainability regardless of the organization's dedicated behavioral & mental health program operational dollars or available grant funding.

Addressing Critical Needs

• Staff Shortages: By automating initial assessments and easing documentation burdens, the IAUDTP empowers understaffed behavioral & mental health professionals to focus on deeper therapeutic interventions.

• Multilingual Populations: Justice systems often serve diverse communities. The IAUDTP offers culturally competent support through its multilingual platform (92 languages).

• Recidivism Reduction: Assessing and addressing behavioral & mental health needs is crucial for successful reintegration. The IAUDTP provides ongoing support during the critical reentry period.
