AI TECHNOLOGY PLATFORM
mySHO DTx platform partner Scalable Care is currently the world’s only AI Chatbot to pass the iconic Turing Test , which measures the effectiveness of AI. Under the leadership of CTO John Denning, who was an integral part of the team that developed myChart and EPIC electronic health record, Scalable Care has developed the most advanced “human-seeded AI” on the market. Human seeded AI is a purpose led initiative to develop evidence-based therapy content. The benefits of AI in mental health care will allow treatment to become more affordable, accessible, and efficient; it will also offer greater privacy for the patients and support for the therapists.
The mySHO+Scalable Care program has also been developed in a “closed” environment, ensuring only programming provided by UCSF’s professional team and custom therapy content from AIU’s mental health professional staff will be presented to the end user as therapy support content. This is a significant distinction from new AI products like ChatGPT, which scours the Internet for unverified information to provide to the information requestor. The platform was intentionally designed with "guard rails" to ensure only verified, evidence-based content is presented to the end user.
Recent initiatives utilizing the mySHO+Scalable Care Platform include, but are not limited to:
• California eConsult Program – Provides statewide pediatricians with a unified solution for initial and regular mental health assessments for California children
• Centers for Disease Control and Prevention – Pilot Program to position the platform as a “co-pilot” to assist parents & children with difficult conversations i.e. sexual activity, drug use, etc.
• 6-month Research Project with Mayo Clinic Sponsored Innovation Scholars program
GritX is a valuable resource for professional therapists, practitioners, and counselors (TPC). Empowered by its ability to “speak” 92 languages, it creates increased connections between TPC’s and their patients, provides valuable feedback and data, and force multiplies their ability to have meaningful engagements with as many patients as possible, available 24/7/365.
mySHO Scalable Care Platform FAQ’s
1. Does our program replace therapists? No. Our program serves as an educational resource tool for existing therapists, allowing them to “force multiply” their existing practice…meaning they can create more quality engagement with the clients they already have and effectively bring more clients into their practice or program. Our program allows the therapist to stay “connected” to the client between face-to-face visits. The face-to-face visits will be more informed and effective due to the data & information gathered by the AI chatbot through its regular use.
2. What is Human seeded Artificial Intelligence? The platform is populated by licensed professionals in a controlled environment, the AI only knows what it’s taught.
3. ChatGPT vs Scalable Care - ChatGPT has been featured prominently in the media with both good and bad coverage with various opinions on its value to society. What is not in dispute is the method that ChatGPT obtains its information. It essentially “scrapes” existing internet content to answers inquiries, without validation of accuracy. By contrast, Scalable Care was developed in a “closed” environment, ensuring only programming provided by UCSF’s professional team and the program partner’s mental health professional staff will be presented to the end user as therapy content, not what happens to be found on the internet.
4. Security - AIU / Scalable Care follows the following security guidelines:
a. HIPAA - Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) | CDC
b. HITECH - HITECH Act Enforcement Interim Final Rule | HHS.gov
c. NIST 800-171 - SP 800-171 Rev. 2, Protecting CUI in Nonfederal Systems and Organizations | CSRC (nist.gov)
